Accessories.... |

 |
|
|
|
|
|
There
are a number of accessories available to complement the
our Stairlift. These accessories are designed and manufactured to provide comfortable, practical and cost effective solutions for people with additional mobility and physical flexibility difficulties, or to cater for more complex stair configurations.
Sit and Stand Frame
With a Sit/Stand Frame, you can choose whether to use the stairs in either the usual seated position or to stand on the footrest. With a special folding steady/security bar for stability, it is ideal for anybody who may have problems bending their knees, or where multiple users with different requirements will be using the stairlift.
The Perch Stairlift may also be suitable.
Seat Belts
For extra security and safety,
Our Stairlifts can be fitted with an inertia reel lap harness or a static, 3-point, fixed over-shoulder harness.
Hinged rail
The lower section of the rail folds up and out of the way when not in use, allowing greater access at the foot of the stairs. The option of a hinged rail is ideal when there may a doorway near the foot of the stairs. When the stairlift is not is use, the rail is neatly out of the way and causes no obstruction.
Bridging Platform
Do you have a turn at the top of your stairs? The bridging platform can offer a quick, cost effective solution to certain types of curved staircase. Good examples are winding turns right at the top of the stairs, or perhaps a turn on a flat landing where there are two or three steps after the turn.

Our
Stairlift Ride Quality
The smooth ride quality is achieved with our
unique rail and roller system, working with the
battery power and
rack and pinion drive systems. Typically, other stairlifts
feature four, or sometimes six, chassis rollers and a box section rail.
The Our stairlift has eight rollers, giving a surface contact area at least four times greater than competitor products. Such features, along with our unique double-tube rail profile, gives the
smoothest, quietest and most luxurious ride quality currently available, and a
superb feeling of safety and stability when using the stairlift.
Our Stairlifts power supply
Our stairlifts are powered by automatically charging batteries, which deliver a
smooth, ultra-quiet and safe ride quality, with many advantages:
- The
stairlift still works even if the mains power is interrupted.
- There is
no mains voltage to any of the operating parts of the stairlift.
- There are
no troublesome trailing mains cables.
- Allows
quick and easy installation with no mess or disruption
- Stairlift is
smooth and near silent when working.
-
'Soft start / soft stop' means that there is no jolting or lurching as the lift starts or finishes its journey. This adds to the feeling of safety and stability.
Our Stairlifts Safety Features
Our Stairlifts have an impressive array of safety features built in as standard. These include:
Electronic and mechanical braking systems
The stairlift is fitted as standard with these essential safety systems to eliminate any possibility of an uncontrolled descent of the stairlift.
Limit sensors
At the end of either an ascent or descent, the stairlift will come to a 'soft stop' due to the limit sensors. These ensure that the stairlift always stops in the correct position
|
|
|
|
Choice of Control
Our Stairlifts can be controlled by either the
'joystick' fitted to the seat arm, or using one of the
infra-red remote control handsets, two of which are supplied. The remote controls are ideal when there are 2 users in the house and the lift needs to be 'sent' or 'called' up and down the stairs. The wireless design means that there is no unsightly wall-mounted wiring or control stations.
Swivel seat with locking catch
The stairlift seat swivels and locks in position, making mounting and dismounting the stairlift easy and safe. The stairlift will not operate unless the seat is in the correct riding position.
Pressure sensitive safety surfaces
There are 5 surfaces / edges that stop the stairlift in event of a collision with any obstruction on the stairway. These are located around the footrest, and on the top and bottom of the carriage.
Digital Status Display
Mounted on the carriage of the stairlift is a clear alpha-numeric digital display which shows clearly the status of the stairlift at any time.

What happens if there is a
power failure, will I be stranded?
An our Stairlift is battery powered and will continue
to work even if you have a power cut. our pioneered
the use of DC (battery) power in stairlifts. When the Stairlift was designed, it was chosen due to
the inherent advantages of safety, smooth power delivery
and the ability to operate normally during a power
failure. All of our?s stairlift competitors have
followed this lead and now offer a battery powered
product, or have one in development. Such are the
advantages of this technology!
A fully charged battery will complete approximately 15
to 20 trips (return) an average staircase. The actual
number is dependent on the length of stair, angle of
staircase and the weight of the user.
